The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is situated in the northwest town of Kegalle, enroute Kandy-Sigiriya. This orphanage was originally founded in order to afford care and protection to the many orphaned Elephants found in the jungles of Sri Lanka.
Temple of the Tooth Relic – “Dalada Maligawa”
‘Maligawa’ literally means palace. This palace is over 3 centuries old ,is an art and history lover’s paradise located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of Lord Buddha.
This is one of the best botanical garden in the whole of Asia. It is renowned for its collection of orchids.
The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees.
Falling within Kandy and Matale districts, the Knuckles Range covers an area of about 160 sq km. The mountain range can be reached via many roads and amongst them the easiest road to approach is from Matale via Rattota and Riversten. The weather in this mountain range is quite pleasant and keeps changing in an unpredictable manner. The Knuckles area represents also a great variety of different forest types and climate zones which makes it a perfect destination for nature enthusiasts, botanists and researchers. Best time to visit is from March to September. Moderate possibilities of rainfall expected from December to February. Better recommended to take a guide for first-time visitors.

Finally drive around this hill station viewing Lake Gregory before retreating to the warmth of your hotel.
Today will be a day tour to Hatton, the central highlands with its gushing waterfalls, mini water streams, tea covered mountains and hills and a city entirely covered by nature and scenic beauty. Almost every side is bright with lushes of green tea bushes.
You’ll have plenty of opportunities to learn more about the surrounding tea industry, while visiting one of the factories and tasting the finest choices of tea.
Natural attractions are Castlereagh Reservoir and Warleigh Church.
Today will be a day tour to Bandarawela, a cooler climate that makes it an agreeable base for exploring the mountains, waterfalls and temples in the surrounding area.
The surrounding area offers a fantastic scenery and usually idyllic climate provides a refreshing change from the heat of the low country and the cool environs of Nuwara Eliya.
Attractions include Lipton’s Seat and Diyaluma Falls, the second highest waterfall in Sri Lanka.
Ella is a beautiful sleepy mountain village with an ideal cool climate of the central highlands. On a clear day, its view extends the south coast of Sri Lanka. Ella is a perfect base for relaxing, with lots of fantastic walks through tea plantations to temples and waterfalls. With its perfect climate, this village really soothes your body and mind.
The main attractions in Ella are the Ella Rock, famous for its breathtaking views across the Hill Country with the town nestled in the hills below you. The trek to the top takes around 2 hours and it starts from the Ella railway station. From there, you will walk along the train tracks and continue through the villages, plantations and bushes. The last part with a steep ascends to the top is rather physical, but all your efforts are well worth it with the gorgeous sceneries over the mountain ranges and the valleys underneath.
Another gorgeous view point in Ella is the 1141-meter-high Little Adam’s Peak. The mountain was named after the holy mountain of Adam’s Peak because of the similar shape, and it is fairly easy to climb (around 2 hours both ways), with a good path all the way up. Rest and relax at the hotel.
After breakfast you will be transferred to the Capital city of Colombo, proceed to the city with many colonial era buildings located in between many sky scrapers. Sightseeing activities include Gangarama Temple, Town Hall, Viharamadevi park, National Museum and pettah market.
Finally wander around the city with a Tuk Tuk safari.
Now it’s time for some casinos and nightclubs experience.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Bandaranaike International Airport where you will take your return flight.
